On a rainy December night…
…Genie the Band and I met in a dimly lit Williamsburg, Brooklyn bar to discuss the music video for what was to be the hit single off their upcoming album, 'Expansive Voyage.'
Keywords floated around like Tarantino, Claude François, and Silk Sonic. Two months later, over two days during a cold February weekend, we transformed two things: our lead singer into an older man and the upstairs part of a bar into a 1970s nightclub. While the video is a fun romp between two different time periods of a musician’s life, the message at the video’s core remains the same: never lose the music inside of you.
The ‘Space Boogie’ music video was released on September 20th, 2024.
