Director’s Statement

Made as an exercise in filmmaking at the London Film School, ‘Terry’ was one of six productions to be green-lit during Term 4 at LFS- when over 25 projects were pitched.

Loosely based on a time when I witnessed my great-grandfather watch his wife, of 70 years, pass away, I wanted to create a story about loss and the unexpected moments of chance that help us move on. Working under exercise guidelines, my crew and I designed and built the hospital room that the film takes place in with only £800. The rest of the film was shot on location around London, England.
